Wells Advanced Materials (Shanghai) Co Ltd, based in Shanghai's Jiading district, presented its latest composite products at JEC World 2026 in Paris, the world's flagship exhibition for the composites industry.
The company unveiled its high-performance towpreg, manufactured using specialized epoxy resin and fibers through a 100 percent hot-melt solvent-free process. The product features uniform resin content, smooth unwinding and stable width, with the added advantage of customizable resin content and width to meet a variety of applications.

With a tensile strength reaching five to eight times that of alloy steel, while having only one-quarter the density of alloy steel and two-thirds that of aluminum, the towpreg maximizes load-bearing capacity and deformation resistance with minimal weight. It can be used in aerospace, wind power, automotive manufacturing and sports equipment.
The company also highlighted its specialty prepreg resin, which achieves high-performance molding without an autoclave, reducing process complexity and manufacturing costs while maintaining excellent mechanical properties. This material is suitable for advanced manufacturing fields, including aircraft secondary load-carrying structures and large composite components.
Looking ahead, Wells Advanced Materials (Shanghai) plans to expand its global presence and further develop its technology for domestic composite materials.
