A small table which can be installed in the subway enables passengers to work or study in fragmented time. Passengers can have easy access through scanning the QR code on the table. To enhance the experience, wireless charging is also installed.
The above creative idea was raised by the STABLE startup team from Jiading No 1 High School and was praised at the 2019 YEA Young People's Innovation and Entrepreneurship Road Show in China.
Featured YEA innovation and entrepreneurship projects have been introduced into the Jiading youth scientific innovation distribution center since 2018. Established in September 2018, the center is affiliated to the Jiading Youth Activity Center.
As the first open "technology space station" themed on youth scientific innovation education in East China, the distribution center breaks through campus space limitations and reasonably allocates and makes the best use of the limited innovation education resources.
Primary and middle school students in Jiading district all have the opportunity to study the scientific innovation courses and experience artificial intelligence life in the distribution center in each semester.
In order to let students experience more professional courses, Jiading has gathered innovative resources in the region and set up an expert resource pool. Doctoral experts from various industries such as science and technology, engineering and enterprises visit the classrooms and share their knowledge with the students.
Last year, education delegations from Utah and Arizona in the United States visited the Jiading youth scientific innovation distribution center and thought that this model could help solve the problem of lack of professional teachers in scientific innovation education, as well as provision of venues and hardware for an innovative curriculum.
At present, the person in charge of the Utah STEM action center is promoting the distribution model there, and hopes to introduce the distribution model, teaching materials and some teaching aids to carry out similar innovations in Utah. Three local primary schools plan to establish sister partnerships with the Jiading youth scientific innovation center.
