The interprovincial commuting between Shanghai and Kunshan in Suzhou, Jiangsu province resumed on June 20.
According to the official WeChat account fabukunshan, commuters must register 24 hours in advance through the Shanghai-Kunshan commuting application "Lulutong" for their first commuting to fill in personal information, a commitment letter, and provide a 24-hour negative nucleic acid test result and other information.
In addition, commuters must also maintain a place-to-place closed-loop commute between their workplaces and their homes, and must not travel to medium- and high-risk areas. They should also take their temperatures, and strengthen personal protection.
Shanghai and Kunshan recognize each other's nucleic acid test results, so commuters can go to nucleic acid testing spots in either Shanghai or Kunshan to take a test. According to statistics, in Jiading district's Anting town only, there are over 6,000 employees from 190 key industrial companies that must commute between the two cities.
For example, the auto supplier Aptiv has more than 300 employees living in Huaqiao, a town in Kunshan. The resumption of commuting between Shanghai and Kumshan has benefited the company in resuming normal operations and production.
