The 2023 Jiading Nightlife Festival, an important part of the 2023 Jiading Shopping Festival, opened on June 1 at Jiading Powerlong Plaza in Jiading district, Shanghai.
During the festival, creative markets and a host of activities will be held to let the public experience the unique charm of Jiading's nightlife.
The Jiading Powerlong Plaza's "Sunset Party" is one of the highlights of the 2023 Jiading Nightlife Festival. The event features many popular catering brands as well as 100 activities related to the "art + business + night economy" format.
At the art area of the festival, dozens of lounge chairs and cartoon motifs can be found at an interactive lifestyle. Meanwhile, the music area will feature popular folk singers performing 50 shows every weekend from 18:30-19:30 from June 6 to Aug 31.
Jiading Powerlong Plaza had three years ago optimized its operations to support and promote the nighttime economy. These efforts have since boosted customer flow by 30 percent.
"Next, we will continue to cooperate with famous online singers and artists, using art and music as the carrier to enhance the experiences of eating, drinking, playing, having fun and shopping, so as to turn Powerlong into a unique 24-hour shopping mall in Jiading," said Bai Rong, the general manager of Jiading Powerlong Plaza.
In addition to the "Sunset Party" event at Jiading Powerlong Plaza, popular landmarks such as Xiyun Tower, Zhouqiao Old Street, Xintiandi and Jiabei Country Park in the district will also hold activities throughout the summer to bolster nighttime consumption.
Guan Chunhua, deputy director of Jiading's commerce committee, said that the 2023 Jiading Nightlife Festival will gather the district's business areas to launch activities that bring Jiading residents a memorable night experience this summer.
