The Shanghai International Automobile City Miniature Wonderland, China's first train-themed miniature landscape park, recently opened in Jiading district, Shanghai, after nearly a year of meticulous construction.
This innovative park offers visitors a journey through a miniature world where model trains traverse detailed landscapes, creating a fairy-tale atmosphere.
Upon entry, visitors can explore the "People, Cars, and City" area, featuring iconic landmarks like the Shanghai International Circuit and the Shanghai Auto Museum, all recreated in miniature. The starting point for the train models is here, marking the beginning of an exploration of Jiading.
The park spans over 2,000 square meters and is crafted at a 1:87 scale. It features four themed areas: "Silk Road Wonders", "Maritime Symphony", "Wild Freedom", and "Snow Country Fairy Tale". These areas connect urban and natural scenes, allowing visitors to virtually travel to places like Provence, the Swiss Alps, and Spanish castles. Mr Zhang, a visitor, described it as "a unique perspective to experience the world's beauty".
In addition to landscapes, the park includes intricate miniature figures, adding life to the scenes. Hidden buttons offer interactive elements, such as rescue operations and lively town squares with animated figures.
The automatic train models are the park's highlight, linking various scenes with both historical steam engines and modern high-speed trains. "Visitors can transition from smart cities to ancient stations under the Alps," said Jin Gang, co-founder of miniature park.
The park also includes spaces for train enthusiasts and educational areas, integrating cultural and educational elements. It aims to become China's largest and most advanced train model miniature park.
